Privacy Policy

Nulo ("Nulo," "we," "us," or "our") is an astrology application operated by Bear Studio, a sole proprietorship based in Slovenia ("Bear Studio"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it readable.

Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — your email address, used to create and access your account.
• Birth details — your date of birth, time of birth (optional), and place of birth. We use these solely to calculate your astrological chart and generate your readings.
• Name — the name or nickname you choose to be addressed by in the app.

Information collected automatically

• Subscription and purchase data — managed through Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive confirmation of your subscription status but never your full payment card details.
• Basic technical and usage data — such as app version, device type, and crash diagnostics, used to keep the app working.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise GPS location, or browsing activity outside the app.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Calculate your astrological chart and generate daily, weekly, and other readings;
• Create and maintain your account and authenticate you securely;
• Process and manage your subscription;
• Send you optional notifications (such as a morning reading) if you enable them;
• Diagnose problems, improve the app, and protect against abuse.

We process your birth details only to provide the core function of the app. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your personal data for advertising.

Legal basis for processing (EU/EEA users)

Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process your personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract (to provide the app and your readings), consent (for optional notifications, which you can withdraw at any time), and legitimate interests (to secure and improve the app).

Your birth details may be considered sensitive in some interpretations. We process them solely to deliver the service you have requested, and only with your knowing input.

Third-party services

Nulo relies on a small number of trusted providers to function:

• Clerk — secure account authentication and login.
• RevenueCat & Apple — subscription management and payment processing.
• Our hosting and astrological-calculation backend — to compute your chart and generate readings.
• An AI text provider — to generate the written prose of your readings. Only the astrological data needed to write a reading is sent; your identity and contact details are not used to train third-party models.

Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver its part of the service and under its own privacy and security obligations.

Data retention

We keep your account and birth details for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. EU/EEA users have these rights under the GDPR. You can edit your birth details and name directly in the app, and you can request account deletion by contacting us at david@bearstudio.si. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Slovenia, the Information Commissioner / Informacijski pooblaščenec).

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time from within the app or by emailing david@bearstudio.si.

Children's privacy

Nulo is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and secured authentication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
